Man’s Ancient Heart Pillaged.

Who would be a Bodley Bunny?! Govinder Bunny and our Keeper returned from the New Bodleian farewell ‘tired and emotional’ on Friday night, and promptly burst into tears on each others’ shoulders. Rapid emergency cuddle cover was organised, and mugs of hot chocolate, and strong Darjeeling for Bunny Uncle because his tummy is not getting smaller, were prescribed. Much wailing about destruction of book fortresses, the loss of gloomy milieux, and dusty dark book-stacks, until we bunnies pointed out the place was a death-trap, with prehistoric air-conditioning and leaking walls, and not the place to preserve precious things for as long as the Earth shall endure! They both calmed down after that, and we had more cuddles and wiping of noses and eyes, and then it was time for a delayed dinner.

Anyway, here’s Govinder Bunny posing on the last tour before the speeches, wearing Bunny Uncle’s mourning arm-band as a sash.
