Man’s Ancient Heart Pillaged.

Who would be a Bodley Bunny?! Govinder Bunny and our Keeper returned from the New Bodleian farewell ‘tired and emotional’ on Friday night, and promptly burst into tears on each others’ shoulders. Rapid emergency cuddle cover was organised, and mugs of hot chocolate, and strong Darjeeling for Bunny Uncle because his tummy is not getting smaller, were prescribed. Much wailing about destruction of book fortresses, the loss of gloomy milieux, and dusty dark book-stacks, until we bunnies pointed out the place was a death-trap, with prehistoric air-conditioning and leaking walls, and not the place to preserve precious things for as long as the Earth shall endure! They both calmed down after that, and we had more cuddles and wiping of noses and eyes, and then it was time for a delayed dinner.

Anyway, here’s Govinder Bunny posing on the last tour before the speeches, wearing Bunny Uncle’s mourning arm-band as a sash.

Govinder Bunny pretending to be a sweet pea.

In these times of stress, with the Bodleian's old computer catalogue having committed suicide, the Bodley Bunnies hope this picture proves soothing to all in need. Govinder Bunny is showing off her new bunny-bow, and now wants a new, matching, outfit.

Bunnies for Red Nose Day!

Here I am in the Reading Room with Govinder Bunny, trying to raise money for Red Nose Day. Govinder has her sari wrapped around me, because it is cold here. We are doing our best to look winsome and cute, but no-one is giving us any money, despite offers of bunny cuddles. Sigh.

Bunny-in-a-Bag.

Bunny Auntie Izzy gave us some unwanted Darjeeling yester-day, and I tried the beautiful Benares silk embroidered bag it came in, as a winter snuggle, before returning it to her. I’m a “San-Cha Rare Darjeeling Tea Bud”! We will raise a cup of tea in her honour at the Secret Bunny Base.

Belated Bunny photo album.

If there are any bunny chums still reading this, I must apologise for being so tardy with my jottings recently. Now the course is over, I can treat this more as a ‘photo album’, and hope to post more examples of bunnies at the cutting edge of information management. But to finish my ‘23 Things’ theme...

Here I am in the Post Room with Manisha Bunny, wrestling with the packaging, and un-wrapping my 23 Things ‘Graduation’ D.V.D.s, bought with my Amazon voucher. All three series of Cardiac Arrest : essential viewing for a little bunny wanting to work in the N.H.S., and with ms Helen Baxendale as a strong role model for bunny doctors everywhere.

With our post-prandial paan, we sit down to watch the box set. Uncle Jeremy (left) explains points of interest...

Just to prove we really are doing our Medical studies, and not skiving with some Bolly classic...

Outline is read by all at the Secret Bodley Bunny Base; I am a front page star! I read the congratulations card from my bunny chums at the Seaside Hospital library, whilst Princess Raveena Bunny combs my ears. Bollywood beckons (but only after I pass my exams)...
